Since that markdown is always running and with what we know about sales not really 'buy' players to swell communities Eco in a steam sale is probably not something we will see until final release. Many people have actually done things like get together and buy the 4-pack and end up with about 4 dollars off each copy when they pooled their money. The idea that SLG has run with since the steam release by giving you the opportunity to buy additional copies and to have those discounted (and if you buy on the SLG site you can link you game to your steam account and have the game on steam too) is much better since basically it sells at a discount all except for the first copy.
ECO GLOBAL SURVIVAL GAME PORT INSTALL
Most of the community minded games that though that a promotional sale would get people in found out that that whole idea was total off the mark and did not bring in the community members like they were told would happen, Several games did listen to players who said a promo sale would allow their friends to join so they could develop communities and so on and so they did a sale and while they did get some good numbers in the sales category there was minimal if any impact on the communities that people were trying to build up, Some of the demographics that they followed show a very low number of purchased copies were ever even installed and a good many that did install never played so doing a sale like that was not the payoff everyone imagined it should be, Also, its long been proven that games that need to be community driven you don't really increase you players that will stick it through and build a community in a game just by slapping a 'for sale' tag on it and selling it to a bunch of people that grabbed it cause it was on sale and who can pass up a sale that will not ever bother to even open the game. So since they have a running promo all the time to do another would not really be a good thing financially. Also the 4 pack gets you access to the dev-chat on Eco (for the person buying the pack, not everyone that gets a game invite sent to them)

There is always the game packs on the SLG site that are promotional, even if you own a game you can go on the SLG site and buy the 2 or 4 pack which will know you have a copy of the game as long as you linked to your steam account and you will get the amount of you cam as a discount and the game you get with the 2 pack or the 3 copies you get with the 4-pack (you get the other copies in the forum of invites you send people) those are at a discount also -the two pack you get the extra game at 5 dollars off and the 4 pack you save 20 and so on. It was still a good deal for 40 especially how hard the devs are working on the game and the progress that is happening with it, Early Access games rarely go on sale unless the release on steam without a price drop and decide to reduce through a sale and then have the price go back up and wait for another sale.
